Most traditional medicine approaches pain problems with medications and surgeries. As a labor and delivery nurse for over 20 years, I understand the frustrating effects of these approaches.
John F Barnes Myofascial Release has changed how I think about our bodies. In myofascial release treatment, I identify areas indicative of restriction (it might feel hot, harrowing, or tender) and apply physical pressure, stretching, holding, compression, or gentle rocking (known as rebounding) to the area. This allows the restricted areas to soften and rehydrate so that the connective tissue becomes more fluid and promotes healing. Because fascia is all interconnected, someone having pain in their shoulder, for example, might have a rotation in their hips that is causing the pain. For this reason, I will start with a full body assessment. I treat the pain and look elsewhere for the cause.
Since starting on this journey, I have had less knee and back pain and very few headaches. When something does flare up, I use effective MFR strategies to self-treat. Let me treat you and guide you to a pain-free life. Anything is possible.
